Infrastructure
Why Now
Our city has grown exponentially and will continue to grow with an estimated population of 340k residents by 2040, which is the same size as Cleveland, Miami, and Anaheim. We need to address these issues now.
Why This
As you know, our growth has already outpaced our infrastructure. It's not just a matter of inconvenience but safety. While the 303/U.S. 60, and Asante areas are hot-button items that must be addressed, we must also address surface streets to make movement in and around the city better.
What I Will Do
-
Support roadway improvements that meet the demands of our growing city.
-
Implement a simple short-term solution: Evaluate and potentially remove the median along Bell Road to increase the length of turn lanes, alleviate congestion, and eliminate wasted water used to maintain the grass.
-
Develop partnerships that address transportation issues and connectivity within the city and surrounding areas.
